Mind Programming: I Have Healthy Sleep
I wrote a spell to help me sleep, and it works great. This is a more modern scientific approach to achieving regular, healthy sleep, than astral projection, though I've heard that works well for some. In this one, you ground yourself in your body first, before you sleep. This allows for you to stay centred and in control of your dream state. You can even learn lucid dreaming by working with this method. This works even if you don't understand neuroscience. That's because when we have the knowledge that this type of Magick works, we are able to tap into the collective consciousness, and all knowledge we need, and convince all of Creation to help us achieve our goals.
I encourage you all to make your own versions, adding more personal touches, such as information about what types of things you want to dream about. Write and read it to yourself, or aloud; it works either way, though some feel more empowered by reading aloud.. I hope you find this as helpful as I do. (If anyone recognizes the article where I got some of this info., please let me know, as I lost it, and would like to credit it.)
Whenever I sleep, I automatically block all dissonant energies from interfering with my healthy sleep patterns. I have healthy sleep of a harmonic resonance.
This is how I do that:
My sleep begins with NREM (Non-rapid eye movement) Stage 1, then goes to NREM stage 2, then NREM stage 3.
Then NREM stage 2 is repeated.
Then REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep occurs.
Then, NREM stage 2 is where I return before starting the whole cycle again.
This occurs for as long as both my subtle and physical bodies require, for me to reach and maintain 100% health at all times.
This cycle occurs generally 4-5 times per night.
In NREM stage 1, for about 5 to 10 minutes, my brain is still fairly active, and producing high amplitude theta waves, which are slow brain waves occuring mostly in the frontal lobe of the brain.
For NREM stage 2, I become less aware of my surroundings, my body temperature drops, my eye movements stop, and my breathing and heartrate become more regular.
My brain also begins to produce bursts of rapid, rhythmic brainwave activities, which are known as sleep spindels. This is when my brain gathers, processes and filters new memories which were aquired since the last time I slept.
While this is occuring, my body slows down processes in preparation for NREM stage 3 sleep and REM sleep, which are the deep sleep stages when the body repairs, restores and resets for the coming day.
For NREM stage 3, slow brain waves which are known as delta waves begin to emerge, and this is known as delta sleep. This is a period of deep sleep where noises in my environment are not able to awaken me.
During this stage of sleep, my muscles are completely relaxed, my blood pressure drops and breathing slows, and I progress into my deepest sleep. My body begins physical repairs, while my brain consolidates declarative memories, including general knowledge, facts, statistics, personal experiences, and other things I have learned.
I then enter REM sleep, and voluntary muscles do not move. I dream during this cycle. This begins approximately 90 to 110 minutes after I first start sleeping. During REM sleep, my brain has increased activity, my body is relaxed and still, my breathing may be faster and irregular, and my eyes move rapidly. Memory consolidation also happens, and emotional memories are processed.
My sleep cycles are uninterupted and I wake feeling happy, energetic and motivated to start my day, and achieve everything I have planned to do.
